The Youth Cancer Services (YCS) provide specialist, age-appropriate treatment and support for young cancer patients aged 15 - 25. They receive federal funding through Canteen Australia as well as state and territory governments.
YCS are located at five lead hospitals linked to a network of more than 25 hospitals across Australia. Each service has a multidisciplinary specialist team of doctors and health professionals who are experienced in treating and caring for young people with a range of different cancers. Every young person with cancer can access YCS and get the best, age-appropriate medical, nursing and psychosocial support.
